I slowed things down a bit... I still think I'm right on the 'guaranteed quality'.
But maybe you want to listen for yourself.

Slowed down sound snippet

In any event, I will debate no further.  After all... It's just a game. (an awesome game, but still a game.)

True, but the subtitles actually seem spot on in this song.
After all, it's not like Rarity is making dresses in 'Our Town'.

A fun thing for you to try is sing these two words "guarantee quality" and make it sound like the last word is not 'equality'.  Chances are you can't.

The whole 'My' vs 'I' thing is a singers trick that went wrong in this song.  Most of the time you can drop the first consonant sound of a word to help catch your breath and people will still understand the word.  Yeah, I learned this trick in my chorus.  It comes in handy.

and now we need a couple bug fixes...

'guarantee equality' needs to be changed to 'guaranteed quality'  both times.

and even though it sounds like 'I fashion only makes me want to shriek'. The first word is 'My' and not 'I'.

The only other thing I don't like is that 'windowpane' is one word instead of two... but it's one of those words where both versions are correct.

I managed to put the files on the cloud using the web client.
I made my typical 3 files... Regular, instrumental, and pitch reference.

Enjoy!

Just fyi...

There will be a small delay in getting the audio for this song ready.  My motherboard decided to play some tricks on me and would endlessly restart. (usually it's a power supply that causes this... go figure?)

I just finished rebuilding my system using older parts.

EDIT: Oh yeah, DIBS!

Um... does that mean you wanna do the audio too?

Yeah... Lately I've been wondering if there is just a bit too much music in my life.
If it wasn't for the lack of new songs in the show, I think I might have lost it by now.  :o

You might think that such a thing is impossible, so let me explain.

First, I just LOVE the music from the show.  That's why I make the instrumental tracks of the show songs.  However, that is not enough pony music for me.  So I also sing along to pony songs whenever I'm in my car.

I am also a member of the 'SoCal Ponytones', a small singing group who works on singing several pony songs and performs at potlucks and other gatherings.  Eventually, we will be convention-worthy.  Here is a sample of one of our songs: (That's me on the lead vocals)

As if that wasn't enough, I am a complete karaoke nut.  So much that I am competing in KaraokeFest again this year, and am already confirmed to be singing in the finals at the LA County Fair where I will be dressed as Mr. Oggie Boogie from 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'.

But things don't stop there.  Oh no.  I also managed to join the ranks of the 'Masters of Harmony'.  These guys are the best singers I have ever come across, and I'm amazed that I seem to meld in with them so well.  The only downside is that I now have to memorize a good twenty songs, and then perhaps a dozen more around October when we prepare for the Christmas shows.

So...  Do you think this is too much music?
I know... I could probably stop singing to pony music in the car... but it's just so relaxing.  ;D

From the timecode, it's from Season 5, Episode 24.

Now that you mention it... I do have a much better instrumental of that song on my system.  In fact, it even has the backing vocals (which makes it better than the version you linked.

I'll sync it with the existing track and toss it on the cloud.

EDIT:  Done!  It's in the WIP Fixes area

Other things to consider would be the quality of the equipment you are using.

A very slow computer or bad volume level settings can cause the game to sense 'sound gaps' in your singing, and give you a lower score.
A low quality sound card or microphone can cause the game to detect variance in your singing pitch, even if you are rock solid.
Least troublesome, but still worth mentioning is, a noisy power line.  This can really play games with the quality of internal sound cards.

I personally plug my microphone into an external USB audio device to bypass any sound card and line noise issues.

In any event, high scores aren't everything.  I prefer to give a great performance with feeling, instead of just following notes like a machine.  I get a much better crowd response that way.  After all, karaoke is all about having fun and building self esteem.

Alright...
I tossed my usual 3 versions of the song on the cloud.

THEY ARE NOT SYNC'D WITH THE EXISTING VERSION.

I also left a special gift at the end of the song, that should get a chuckle or two out of the fans.  We can always remove it if we want.

I just did my thing again...
Regular, instrumental and pitch reference are now on the cloud.  They are sync'd up with the existing 'beta' .mp3 file.
#53
This was the closest topic for it... so time to necro the thread.

My skills have improved enough to where I was able to make a decent instrumental of the theme (full version).
mp3 is on the cloud.
#54
I really wish I had better source audio for this.  But I managed to turn the .mp3 we got into a passable instrumental... I think.
#55
We now have a semi-decent instrumental track in the cloud.  It's not the best... but it's not that bad either.
#56
Audio is now on the cloud.

Full, Instrumental, and Pitch Reference versions.

I decided to combine the main song and the reprise.  Just let me know if you want it done differently.
#57
OK guys, I got some audio in the cloud for ya.

There's a vocal reference track for tapping and pitching, the full song, and two instrumental versions (one with the chorus removed)  Feel free to pick what version(s) you want for the final release.

All tracks are sync'd with each other.
#58
This one is gonna be interesting...   there is NO main singer during the chorus lines.
#59
Yeah... it's part of the music... it's even in the OST version if you listen closely.
#60
Hope it's not too late... but I managed to work out a good quality instrumental track.

It is sync'd up with the existing full track.  It should be on the cloud now.
