If you can sing with feeling and still hit the notes, I know I've done my job well.

You make a good job :D

I've seen RD1042 perform songs with 8500-9500 points on medium with eyes closed, slightly drunk and half-sleeping.

Well... I did A True True Friend
Its 2am and i am tired but its done and probably will sound crap
I listened back and i noticed some timing issues aswell but i guess that's what you get when you mix tiredness with editing

About time to hit this thread. So here, have something awful Aviators' Open Your Eyes. Well, it's not in the game (yet?), but it's karaoke nevertheless.

(It actually sounded pretty nice with a choir of three different recordings. Not surprising, since the original vocals are pretty heavily echoed. Or maybe my mistakes were just negating each other.)

I ought to post something here, oughtn't I.
I just don't want to annoy my dorm mates (Hurrah for Boarding School), so expect not to have it for ages.
Top of the day to you!

Only if you feel like it. You are not obliged to anything.

To commemorate the release of Rainbow Rocks (the movie), have Rainbow Rocks (the song) and Shine Like Rainbows.

In a similar fashion:
I'll post Let's have a Battle (of the Bands) and Awesome as I wanna be in the morning - I just won't upload tonight because I'm currently syncing a large file on Google Drive, and bandwidth is an issue.
Top of the day to you!

Sorry about the fact that I had to play the audio echoed out.
I tried recording both it and my voice separately, but I discovered that my soundcard chipset doesn't like recording from multiple inputs. Also, I had to try many times just to get the damn thing to record.
I hate my laptop sometimes

I recommend you use Audacity on its own. Load up the MP3 and record your mic. Sure, you won't have the lyrics or get a score at the end, but once you played a song enough times, neither will matter, really. And it's much easier to match the volume of your voice clip to the song. And you can edit parts where you know you could've done better. I know I'm rarely 100% satisfied with my first recording.

Other than that, don't sell yourself short. Your voice is quite good, you just need a bit of confidence, of energy behind it.
BTW, is that your real name? No reason, just curious.

EDIT: Somehow I couldn't get this song outta my head. Singing it didn't help, mind. So, have some Tricks Up My Sleeve.

I used Smiley's technique - Messed up on the song, and so chose a different song (UnderpOny - Lunasong) and sang it to MLK using Audacity yo just record my vocals, then I synced it to the MP3 afterwards.
Anyway, here it is.
(And yes, it is my real name)

N.B. Sorry for the random doors opening and closing in the middle - also, sorry for the bit where I turn away from the mic.
I blame dorm-mates.

I'm just having way too much fun with these new songs. ;D

sleumas2000

I just sightread "l'art de la mode" as well as I could, and without humming a single note, etc. just because I couldn't keep up, I got 6430 :P
Unfortunately, I wasn't recording, and so instead, I redid it (getting 7020) and here it is.
There a lot of mumbled syllables though.

http://picosong.com/9daP/ - Note I'm not that proud of this, and my dormmate intrrupted me, but I recorded it, so here 'tis
