i had problems with installing mlk on my system (kubuntu 14.04.3 on a Ideapad Z50-75) - performous is installed, but the mlksim4.sh script don't run.
Works the script only with the ultrastar dx - installation? when yes, then i had to switch (i' trying only at linux!).

Hello! Following djazz' recent work, I'd advise you to actually install the game from Lutris (https://lutris.net/downloads/) which will be much more straightforward for adding new songs as well ;)
I tryed, but something went wrong - Lutris didn't work (or better, i can't install that - all what is shown is a script). I hear from rainbowderpy, that *buntu 14.04 don't will work; 15.04 will - but it dont't give that, so i'll try that on 16.10 (i don't trust 16.04 LTS, 'cause i tested it - and my notebook won't work correktly).
On the other part, i don't understand the Phrase "add to my library" (what is lookin' that all works only in a cloud - und that's nothing, what i want).
on the Lutis page itself, the Terminal commands don't work - ok, i try it on my T60p (with 14.04 - my "workstation", not with the Notebook, who was at least shoult become MLK), but it's noting happen.
All, what i want, are "only" informations - nothing more.
Is Lutris working on *buntu 16.10 correctly?
when i had Lutris, whitch are the next step? "must" i have a account there, that i can play MLK - and became updates?
What is that, what i need on 14.04, what the "higher" *buntus have - but not 14.04 (i forgot that... sorry!) ?
it's not only for me - another guy, whitch have *buntu 14.04 (actually, he plans like me build up a second partition for MLK - if that is need a "Higher" system as 14.04), 'cause we plannes to let that run on Linux - 'cause we don't want to use only for that windows.
So, now i try it with a fresh installed 17.04 - on the same notebook.
But, something is getting wrong... i think.

While i killed the length (over 20000 characters), i will post the complete code if it needed in form of a download. But, the most of them it looks like the same as you can read it.
please try if installing curl helps to fix the downloading issue.
Actually, it runs - but only with ultrastar. The installion itself from Lutris worked (that, was bring the list of "fails" on my last post) - but only for ultrastar dx; not for the pony-theme or the songs.
The songs (all what MLK have - songs, profiles, relevant data) have i copied against 2 days frpm another user, who had that all on a USB-Stick - all is workling (maybe; the microphones must i set manually at the start of the game - at ALL starts!) a little bit, but not so good as i think that it should have.
So i have to fix that a little bit, that it worked correctly.
see what I wrote above. Please try installing the lutris package again but install curl before.
after installing curl and re-installing mlk, nothing is working. not even the older, non-mlp-version that i installed a few days before.
Now itry to remove it and install it all new.
Actually, it runs. But - and that's in my eyes a little problem - i can't update it (the window from the win-version were be needed for the updates from the songs).
So, i have "only"the 683 or so on) songs.
Please look for the updater, thanks.
Actually, i tried yesterday to Download some Songs (i found only the Beta - Song Site), but only a few Songs are Work - Like them from the Wasteland Wailers; other Songs (Like Jyc Row - Flamethown Legacy) don't Show Up.
It's the Same "old" Version, from them i posted it für Last Time (Ultrastar DX in Kubuntu 17.04) - actually with ~ 790 Songs. A lot to little, if i See others with over ~ 1400 Songs...
Gives there in the actual Version a fix, or maybe all the actual Songs as Download somewhere? Sometimes it's disgusting, Not to have the Songs Like all others.
