First S4 song! This one has a reprise, too.
HD version will likely be available next Monday; till then, this clip might be used as reference?
We're the toughest little ponies in town
Got the moves, got the mojo, no harder working ponies around
We are a trio, work as a team
We'll be the first ponies out on the flag-waving scene
We get going when the going gets tough
We know our very best is just never enough
We're kinda short, but so what? We don't get defeated
We could take a little break, but we don't need it
We've got hearts as strong as horses
We've got hearts as strong as horses
We've got hearts as strong as horses
We've got hea-a-a-arts, hearts strong as horses
When we put our minds together, we can achieve
We're the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and you should believe
We've got determination to represent the nation
For the win
We've got hearts as strong as horses
We've got hearts as strong as horses
We've got hearts as strong as horses
And we're flying to win as we gallop to glory
We can conquer any challenge we're in
We've got hearts, hearts strong as horses
Hearts strong as horses
On it!
EDIT: Done, for now. The beta's on OwnCloud.
Oh, sweet sweet sweet! That was fast. Thanks! :D
Edit:
- Shortened a few notes in order to limit clipping
- Added a cover and a static background
Oh right! *facehoof* Forgot to edit for clipping.
We might still have time to include this song in the upcoming release. Maybe. Or we could wait till S4 is over, and release a specific S4 song pack.
I'm adding a poll to your topic regarding these options.
Is it just me, or does adding the reprise just not sound right?
We might have to do some creative editing on this one to get it to look and sound right.
Once I get my hands on the 5.1, I'll come up with an option... I might end up dropping that one slow verse at the 2 min mark, since it doesn't mesh well.
Ok, after a detailed analysis of the song, it turns out that the reprise of the song is just a rehash of the starting lyrics (the slow, sad part) with a small speech, followed by an exact copy of the ending of the song. I'm wondering what the best way to handle this is... A sudden drop in sound to handle the second part might not seem right.
Anyhow, the audio itself is quite interesting. The main singer is Scootaloo. Applebloom(panned left) and Sweetie Belle(panned right) are backup singers. Seems to be a lot of Scootalove in this episode.
I will try to cobble the bits together to make a suitable instrumental. It will likely be a 'Sing as Scootaloo' version, as there seems to be a persistent echo of 'Bloom and 'Belle in the rear channels.
OK, I managed to make some mp3 files...
Let me know if it sucks or something. There are 3 sync'd versions... Regular, Instrumental (sing as Scootaloo), and a Pitch Finder.

Which source did you use? TV rip? iTunes 1080p rip?
Uploaded Psychic's files to Owncloud, added a matching bg video.
The lyrics are now off. :P
Updated the files with the new gap and the missing text. Lookin' good.
I feel the video's out of sync. I've been trying to render it time and again with no success - it's flawless when previewing it in KDenlive, but the output seems incorrect. Weird.
Seems good to me. And I'm normally a sucker for the lip-syncing. I'm still not 100% sure Children of the Night is not a few frames off.

I used the iTunes version, since it had the 5.1. (tv rip was only stereo)
Someone extracted individual singers on Youtube:
- Claire Corlett (Sweetie Belle) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTvgBI4cSRc
- Madeleine Peters (Scootaloo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTvgBI4cSRc
- Michelle Creber (Applebloom) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIbL3BpTQ08
What's noticeable in this is that Michelle isn't singing the Sweetie Belle part this time. This might actually be the first song in which all CMCs are sung by their respective voice actors.
Yeah, I got those same results...
Left channel gets Applebloom (with BG audio).
Right channel gets Sweetie Belle (with BG audio).
Center channel gets Scootaloo (no/little BG audio).
BG audio can be added to Scootaloo with the rear channels, but gives an echo of Applebloom and Sweetie Belle.
is it done?
Yes. This song is done.
It was included as part of the latest update disc.
Where can I download this individually? I download the song packs and put them on Ultrastar and can't find this in any of the song packs.
It's not available as a separate download yet (we'll make a Season 4 pack in due time) - it's kinda a "bonus" in the disc-based installation.
I uploaded it here anyway (http://share.mylittlekaraoke.com/Uploads/%5bEN%5d%5bS4E05%5d%20Hearts%20Strong%20as%20Horses.zip) ;)
Thanks!
Having played the "Scootaloo-less" instrumental recently got me thinking: does the "Songs of Ponyville" version have better audio tracks for a cleaner instrumental?
One of the lyrics is incorrect, "flying to win" should be "playing to win" in all occurances

I'm pretty sure this has already been fixed, but you won't see it until the next release.
Yes, fixed.
