October 25, 2014, 10:23:59 AM
The whole site went down for a while.
Does anyone know why (it's back now - evidently)

Fanmade songs (all languages, released) - Feedback / Boop

WTF is it, and how the hell did it make its way into MLK?
#5
It even has a specially made Karaoke track.
It's like Forest Rain wanted us to include this.

Still working on it. Will put on owncloud when done

I am going back over all the old songs, starting with the Official songs, checking them all for the smallest of problems and fixing them as I find them.
Due to the massive scale of this task, I may occasionally post a few songs here that I have found issues in, but haven't got the time to fix.
I will eventually get to fixing them, but if anyone is looking for something to do (not that that ever happens in this day and age) then feel free to help fix them. (If you fix a song, and you are a mod, please move it into Fixed. If not a mod, reply and I'll edit the post)
PLEASE CHECK THE SONGS IN RED

EDIT: MOVED TO SPREADSHEET: This can be found at

Problems Identified: Need Fixing
======================

At The Gala - There is one problem, but it's so small that it's almost not worth the extra filesize in the download. (2nd last line 2nd note should be 2 semitones higher) - If someone wants to fix this, they can. If they don't, it's fine.
Ballad of the Crystal Empire (already in Fixes - Timing needs a lot of fixing)

Problems Identified: Fixed
====================== N.B. Songs here should get a second opinion, put your name next to it when you move it here or check it. If you find a problem (other than a small timing error) Mark it here, but don't fix it. If you don't find any problems, keep the song in this section, but colour it green

Issues and bug reports / Yass is Crashing
September 06, 2014, 11:36:13 PM
GRRR
Yass has decided that it wants to raash every time I open song.
What with the fact that my in-game editor seems to refuse shift up/down, I have to manually edited ntes.
The funny thing is that I had Yass working (albeit a little buggily) yesterday, but today, it just won't open a song, and freezes the moment I do anything that might possibly involve editing or playing a song.
What on earth is wrong?

I don't know if this is an Ultrastar Bug, a Windows Driver/Hardware/summat bug or a Singstar Mic Problem, but whenever I use my Singstar Mics on the USB soundcard that comes with them, the input pulses.
Looking at the bars, it looks like    ########--########--########--########    (#=blue, -=empty bar)    on long notes, and likewise, there are gaps on smaller notes.
I know it's not just my voice being weird, because it blips at the same time on the red and blue Mic, and it does it too regularly (c. 300ms ssilence every 2.5s)

Am I the only person experiencing this bug?

I don't have a chance to work on this immediately, but as soon as I get the opportunity, Imma do this.
I just wanted to put this thread here as a placeholder.

What is this place Filled with so many wonders,
Casting its spell
that I am now under?

Squirrels in the trees, and the cute little
bunnies
Birds flying free and bees
bees with their honey

And I owe it all to the Pegasus race
If I knew the ground
had so much up it's sleeve,
I'd have come here sooner

Issues and bug reports / MLK Config Directory
August 18, 2014, 04:52:55 PM
By Default, MLK uses the standard ultrastardx config directory. (that is ~/.ultrastardx or %appdata%\ultrastardx)
This is fine, except for someone who already has ultrastardx on their system, and wishes to keep their MLK Highscores separate from those of vanilla (if I can call it that) USDX.

I understand this doesn't affect many people, and in fact, I may be the only one this affects, but I thought I'd raise it, even if it will just end up simmering on the back-burner.
I'm currently working on a personal workaround, and I'll let you know if/when I manage to get it working with a separate directory (I was thinking something along the lines of ~/.MyLittleKaraoke and %appdata%\MyLittleKaraoke), so that you can incorporate it into AC3 (if you so desire)

EDIT: If you edit the launcher to run
ultrastardx.exe -ConfigFile %appdata%\MyLittleKaraoke\config.ini -ScoreFile %appdata%\MyLittleKaraoke\Ultrastar.db
plus any other options used by default, it will use custom files, keeping the entire of MyLittleKaraoke separate from standard Ultrastar Deluxe

I know this may not be of big concern to you, but next time you update the launcher, please would you incorporate this into it.

Thanks
