Did you upload the changes to the Dropbox? It seems the file was untouched ;)
#1102
This is just so impossible to sing :P
#1103
Thanks! Will review that tonight in a while.

Because of the audio/video sync issue, I think I'll remove the background video altogether. There's no need for a specific version of that file (bandwidth/space issues), we'll go with a static background. This is probably what we'll do with all languages other than English, sadly.

Question: should we name that track using the reference English name + a language tag ("So many wonders [FR]") or its French translation ("Toutes ces merveilles")?
#1105
Added that track too, from the Beatle Bronies. Awesome guys, check out their bandcamp page!

Ponified version of "Here comes the sun" by The Beatles.

At the moment, I'm not sure we'll be able to publicly release it, as they're selling that kind of work and we'd be redistributing a MP3; asked for permission, waiting for an answer.

Added this track.
Ponyfied an existing .TXT of Fireflies, by Owl City.
#1107
Added this track, using a ponified .TXT for the original track (B.Y.O.B, by SoaD).

Added this track.
Found a .TXT of La Roux - Bulletproof (supposedly by Frodo5, credits unknown) and ponified the thing.

It's... weird to sing. :D

Thanks!

Renamed "notes².txt" to "notes.txt", and the old "notes.txt" to "notes.txt.bak".
That way, your updated file can directly be played in USDX or Performous from within the Dropbox.

Completed it.
#1111
Tried it again, unsure about the "(and that's the art of the) -dress" pitch.

Woops, my bad.

UltraStart (and mods) should work fine with UTF8 anyway; that's the only way of displaying non-Latin languages in USDX, such as Japanese. The software auto-detect the encoding, but it can also be - and should be - written in a tag.

The issue here was actually related to the way Windows handles line breaks in raw text files. It should be fixed now.

Cleared some space in the common Dropbox share. You should all be able to upload new files now ;)
(Tell me is that's not the case)

Reviewed it, tried to finetune it à la kokairu. I'm not sure I got the skills needed for this tasks, but it seems quite good to me overall!

EDIT: THIS TRACK IS INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT MLK RELEASE.
(and updated)
We'll switch to a definitive version once it airs.

So Twilight wasn't prepared for this. Me neither. Whatever, I still decided to create an Ultrastar file for the newest pony song out there.

Hasbro gave us a sneak peak of the upcoming Season 3, including a song. Head to EQD for more details (and spoilers) about this!

This was hastily made during the night - while it should still be fun to play, expect some errors here and there.
It's quick and dirty, and not representative of the work made on the other files for the MyLittleKaraoke project.

Download!

HOW TO USE
1. Install UltraStar DX.
2. Unzip the song file you just downloaded.
3. Copy its content to the /song/ folder in your UltraStar installation.

In Windows, that's usually in:
C:\Program Files\UltraStar Deluxe\Songs\

You have to copy over the whole song folder and its content. That means you'll end up with something like:
C:\Program Files\UltraStar Deluxe\Songs\I wasn't prepared for this\song.mp3

4. Start the game and start singing!

As a quick test, I decided to import LardonCru's english TXT and throw in the French lyrics + a temporary MP3 file for the song (which is really low quality, especially when compared to CaptainComedy's work on the English audio tracks).

This kinda works. Kinda.
To my surprise, the song is slightly longer in French than in English (to adapt to the singer's pitch? I hope that's not the result of some NTSC?PAL conversion...). This meant the BPM needed a slight adjustment, and may require some more fine-tuning. Also, most parts of the song do work as it is, but a few phrases need to be reviewed again.

I advise not to spend too much time on these versions as long as we have no known way of getting high quality MP3 tracks. But this trial kinda shows that the other languages can be quite easily forked from the English TXT files.

Note: the French version matches the German track perfectly.

Imported from Smilley's work.

The TXT is incomplete - it lacks the ending. If anyone wants to complete it?

Imported from Bronies.de too!
