OK, as most of you guys may have guessed...
I'm a bit of a karaoke nut.

As such, I have countless CD+G discs, and MP3+G songs on my computer... but none for pony songs.

...Until now, that is.

After much time working across programs, and even making a spreadsheet to convert lyric formats (Yeah, I did it in Excel) I am finally able to make a somewhat usable MP3+G version of songs.  I can finally burn these to disc and take em out to my local karaoke clubs.

So, here is 'Smile, Smile, Smile'. (MP3+G)

And here is 'Raise This Barn'. (MP3+G)

Let me know what you think.
Should I make more?

To be honest, I never really used CD+G. And yet, these discs work on a Saturn! Might be a good time to dust off my trusty console and give the fomat a spin.

I'm getting much better at CD+G authoring...
Here is a much improved version of Smile, Smile, Smile.

New Version

This time the graphics look a tad more professional, and a bit more accurate.

Any feedback is welcome.

By the way, the easiest way to play these files is probably to get the CDG plugin for Winamp.
It's another one of those 'free' things.

Bumping the thread. I now have the hardware to play CD+G discs and I'm curious about it (haven't tried it yet). I'd definitely be interested in a CD+G pony songs collection, for the lulz.

You won't believe it worked using Amazon Reader with VLC.
In the stores you can still buy portable karaokes that uses CD+G
I would be interested in the text converter

The cueing is a bit behind but it would be an interesting app.
