We'll have to figure out a way to get you to the next one.  It'll be the weekend of July 4th, 2014.  Hmmm....

As usual, My Little Karaoke was a huge hit at the party, eh!  And once again:  Thank you all so much for the effort you've put into making MLK such a great game, eh!

Because we can never have enough epic in the song packs (and because this was one of my favorite S3 episodes):

another night i spend alone
another silent mare forced out in the cold
my mind is left to wonder
when do my dreams come true
this starry night we're under
are the stars dreaming too
and i know now
the truth we seek
in this lonely night
isn't quite so bleak

Its Ok, I'm right here
don't you ever feel alone, if you ever need a shoulder
to cry on, come find me
you're not different, we're all the same

i seem to blend in perfectly
its as though they can't even see
i'm standing right in front of them
i'm standing right before them

and it seems crystal clear
nobody wants me here
why do we even go on
when everybody's screaming
i know now
the truth we seek
these lonely nights
isn't quite so bleak

Its Ok, I'm right here
don't you ever feel alone, if you ever need a shoulder
to cry on, come find me
you're not different, we're all the same

(bridge)

Its Ok, I'm right here
don't you ever feel alone, if you ever need a shoulder
to cry on, come find me
you're not different, we're all the same
and if you try, i know you'll win
just spread your wings
and fly

Apparently one the theaters with the blu-ray must have leaked this recently:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltqb0Fd5vdg

(Looking forward to my authorized copy of the movie showing up sometime next month...)

Hi Garyolah7!

Yep, each song in its own thread is the way to go.  Renard actually created submission guidelines which can really help the song charters out when charting out your suggested song:  http://www.mylittlekaraoke.com/forum/index.php/topic,135.0.html

Yep!  Marioland1 is right:  Hikaruluna, could you please post each of these songs in its own thread, and also post the lyrics in a code or quote block?  The way these songs are usually handled, a moderator will move the song thread from the 'suggested' group to one of the 'work in progress' groups here when they're being worked on (in order to avoid having two people working on the same song and therefore wasting effort).  This only works well if each song is in its own thread.

Renard also posted a how-to guide for helping the chart-creators out here:  http://www.mylittlekaraoke.com/forum/index.php/topic,135.0.html

Issues and bug reports / Re: What Microphone To Use
July 24, 2013, 09:48:38 PM
Also, for what it's worth, the Logitech USB microphone you're describing is the one model they've been shipping with games like rock band, sing star, etc. for years (with different branding on the mic itself--  though it's the same internals each time). It works well with My Little Karoke. :)

Welcome! / Re: Introduction
July 24, 2013, 09:45:36 PM
Greetings, Marioland!  And welcome to the group!  One of the things I really like about My Little Karaoke (which may be true of other projects as well--  I don't know), is how inclusive they are.  People on this forum have created excellent how-tos on how you can create your own note tracks for songs that people are requesting, as well as how to contribute these to the project so they get included in future releases of the game.

That, and you'll fit right in if you're the sort that likes to sing along with the songs in the show and/or fan music that gets created. :)

Welcome! / Re: Hi! ...and a question, maybe?

Oh!  I apologize--  I didn't know we didn't have the song pack with everything in it released yet in conventient-to-download format. :P

Hopefully you were able to have fun at your party with what you were able to find anyway?

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll just do it here.  One of the bits of feedback I got from the video gaming room at EFNW is something you often see at Karaoke bars, and I can't believe I didn't think to provide this:

Simple song lists.  Two formats:  Alphabetized by song name, and alphabetized by artist name.  People in line to play wanted to be able to look through the list of all the songs to pick one out, but I hadn't thought to make print outs of this, so there was time wasted as people scrolled through the songs to find the one they wanted to sing.  So, having a couple text or PDF files with all the songs listed, first by song name, then by artist name would be really handy to pass around for these kinds of events!

You gotta shaaaaaaare~ / Videos from EFNW 2013
July 12, 2013, 08:47:13 AM
Hi y'all!

I apologize that I didn't think of actually pulling out my crappy camera and taking video of this until the very last day of the con, but here ya go!

http://sr.fo.cx/efnw2013/karaoke/

Apologies for the quality of the video:  I'm not much of a cameraman.  Also, for a message to all of y'all who have worked on this project, fast forward to about 20 seconds before the end of that third video, eh!

For what it's worth, My Little Karaoke, Trotmania, and the Pony Rock Project (MLP Rock Band) absolutely dominated the video gaming room at Everfree Northwest 2013.  Every time I walked by the room, one of these three games was being played on the center screen, and usually with a crowd of at least 15 hanging around singing along and waiting for their turn to play.  They had to do sign-up sheets, and when I stopped by for about a half hour on the third day, I noticed the waiting list was 10 deep!  With My Little Karaoke, though, it didn't matter much because almost everyone in the room was singing along (as well as some people in the hallway outside the room).

Oh-- and did I mention they kept the video gaming room running all night every night for the duration of the con?  Yes, these games were popular enough that attendees were foregoing sleep for an opportunity to play! XD

Once again, thanks for all the hard work y'all put into making My Little Karaoke such a great and fun game!

Welcome! / Re: Ok guys... How can I help?
June 25, 2013, 03:01:53 PM
I would guess:

Gender:  Probably female.  Most of the ponies in the show are. ;)
Age:  Probably Mane 6 age
Pose:  Think Pinkie Pie on stage at the Grand Galloping Gala

Boom!

Someone even gave me my very first piece of pony merch... a pair of Sweetie Belle trading cards.

Wait, what?  You mean your living space isn't already bedecked in all the colors of the rainbow (and twilight, and um....  pinkie pie)?

I'm looking forward to seeing the moving on June 30th.  I'll be just as awkward as you (mid 30's myself, here), though I think we've had around 87 local bronies already RSVP for the event--  at this rate it's doubtful there will be unsold tickets left for the actual target demographic.  :/

Pinkie's Counter / Re: Personality Quiz
June 18, 2013, 03:18:05 AM
Heh!  Well, I usually get 'Twilight' on these things, but for some reason, today when I took it, I got Applejack.  I suppose that probably has something to do with being a bit of a work-a-holic.

Apparently I took this test last fall and got this instead:

When I take actual personality tests, I tend to get "borderline" results-- meaning I apparently have a fairly flexible personality and in a group dynamic will actually shift to fill in missing roles pretty easily (which I've noticed tends to be true).

Ok, time to necro this thread...  Since you guys haven't heard me sing before.

Song: Smile, Smile, Smile - Enhanced Instrumental

Nice, eh! I've yet to have the confidence to post a recording of myself playing any of the tracks.  :P

Also, muffins are usually more "savory" than cupcakes and cupcakes are usually more "sweet" than muffins.  A cupcake is usually made from cake batter and has cake-like frosting on top.  On the other end of the spectrum, muffins never have frosting...  and there are even some that are healthy for you (egad!)  Muffins are generally a breakfast food. Cupcakes are a dessert.

And, in general, commercially baked and sold muffins are 2-3 times the size of commercially baked and sold cupcakes.

Inorite?  I love how it ends--  it turns into a complete sing-a-long, much in the style of an Arrogant Worms song. I imagine that could be pretty fun in a party, eh.  (Every brony party I've done where karaoke is featured, the singing isn't just limited to the people with the microphones--  pretty much everyone in the room is belting out the songs.  This song seems really appropriate for that kind of atmosphere.)

Been sick the last two days and been pretty much useless except for looking for obscure pony songs. Came across this one, eh:

QuoteShe looks outside her window at the rising sun,
And she also looks at the same time at her beloved one.
Dinky's sorting out the mail for her in such a thoughtful way.
She saddles up her bags and peeks in the looking glass and hears her daughter say,
"Hey Mommy, can you see how good you look today?
Your right eye has a sparkle, and the left one wants to play.
Your mane looks extra shiny and your feathers, extra soft.
Your cutie mark reminds me that our love will never pop!"

Oh-oh-oh, Ditzy Doo! All the world's in love with you.
It's like you're a fresh-baked muffin, and the rest of us are you,
Ah-ah-ah, Derpy! Tell me, can those bright eyes see?
You make living happier for everypony.

She takes off down the road in search of the day's first home and
Although it takes a moment, she spots the boutique.
A white mare canters out and her lips rise from a pout when
She cannot help but shout, "Hello!" to that gray streak.
Then in the marketplace where every eye knows her face,
She's greeted by their good grace, and she has none to spare
A farm mare selling apples tosses our friend a hatful
It's more than she can grapple, but she thanks the mare
Though she's a little wonky, each pony and each donkey
Together and all on key sing for her a song

Oh-oh-oh, Ditzy Doo! All the world's in love with you.
It's like you're a fresh-baked muffin, and the rest of us are you,
Ah-ah-ah, Derpy! Tell me, can those bright eyes see?
You make living happier for everypony.

It wasn't that long ago that I didn't know
Who I was going to become.
I thought I saw the whole world laid out in front of me
And I couldn't be any more scared than that
I saw a world full of dark, no color, no light, no laughter.
Well, we've all been there right?
Out of the dark, six kind souls came into my life
And this is what they said:
"You've gotta bring back the kid inside, full of innocence.
Don't be afraid, spread your love like Cadence.
You've got a ways left to go,
But it won't hurt to let it show."

Oh-oh-oh, Ditzy Doo! All the world's in love with you.
It's like you're a fresh-baked muffin, and the rest of us are you,
Ah-ah-ah, Derpy! Tell me, can those bright eyes see?
You make living happier for everypony. (x2)
Oh, you make living happier for everypony. (x3)

Well...  it took me a week to recover.  So, yeah.  There's a reason I only throw a few of these parties each year. XD
