A bit of a backstory, first:
After Galacon 2016 I decided to make a comeback next/this year, but since I had spend most of my time around the Karaoke booth anyway, I'd go for a volunteer position this time.

Aaaaanyway, let's get started:

DAY -1: Friday:

After a bit of a meet-and-greet, and the assignment of the volunteer lanyards and shirts - *squee* -, we were given our first assignment. Since Rainbowderpy had the karaoke/Trotmania room well handled, we began unpacking and assembling Renard's other big contribution: the 8-player ponified Daytona setup.

Fortunately, we had quite a few good LEGO players and the assembly went on pretty quickly and without a hitch - aside from blowing an overload fuse when we first tried to power up the whole system all at once.

Also, guess what I have now!

Thanks, Renard!

See also our room's contribution to Plushiecon:

After dinner at the volunteer meetup - sorry, forgot to make photos - I decided to turn in early to have a fresh start for...

Day 1 - Saturday

After some quick Plushiecon registration - and bigtime jealousy trip -,...

... I went on my assignment on what were the two loudest and stuffiest rooms of the con, the video game room pictured earlier and - obviously - My Little Karaoke:

Complete only with token cosplayer and "free hugs" guy. I'm sure the guy was rich by the end of the weekend.

Before signing off for the night after the concerts - and finally getting my Michelle Creber and BlackGryphon autographs - I checked out Plushiecon, and boy, was it ever a spread:

Including the smallest - to the middle right, lying on her belly, with her tail toward the camera -...

... to the biggest (20 kg) plushie,...

... as well as Renard's "OC", ...

..., my own contribution ...

..., a full discorded set of Mane 6, ...

... and (by my count) 17 Miss Libussas, Czequestria's OC. That's some dedication!

Finally, I got to make a selfie with Renard sporting - and this will make dedicated fans cringe - a Rari-tie.

Day 2 - Sunday

... saw us finalize our contribution to the Charity Auction: A con exclusive physical copy of our game with signatures of both the dev team and any artists we could get our hands on, including Team Creber, TriDashie, 4everfreebrony, Oh Pony Boy and Jyc Row. Thanks everyone, as well as the guy who bid 90€ for it!

I also managed to get a great shot of a totally in-character pair of Chryssi/Fluffle Puff cosplayers:

Finally, we came to the end of the con, with the traditional "volunteers on stage" moment, which for the onlookers looked like this:

But for us like this:

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend once again, and even though I couldn't attend too many panels - I'll catch up on them once they are uploaded -, I had a great time and I'll most likely make a return next year.

To Galacon 2018!

Seems like Galacon is a smashing success. I hope to attend next year. Anything special planned?
