How do I fix this. Also, why is it in German?

We can't really help you with that one, as this came from UltraStar itself and not our modification (and we have no idea why ?!)

You can try Vocaluxe ( http://vocaluxe.sourceforge.net/ ) or Performous ( http://performous.org/ ) instead of ultrastar deluxe

You gonna need to install the songs manually, they are in the folder songs on the DVD iso, please refer to the software manual from the alternative you choose for the songs installation.

Given just this basic information...

The most likely thing that happened was that you got your video drivers using Windows Update. (or perhaps even the wrong version, since the language is off)

I would suggest you try going to the ATI website and download the correct drivers directly from there.

Ultrastar being developed mostly by a German team, I'm not surprised the error is hard-coded in that language. From the looks of it, it seems that your graphic drivers don't work as expected - regarding what Psychic said, did you get them through Windows Update? If so, please head to the AMD website a download the real deal. :P

After deleting atioglxx.dll from %windir%/SystemWOW64/ I re-installed the graphics driver (I should have clarified I had been using AMD reference drivers the entire time, not the crap Microsoft labels "important drivers"). Seems atioglxx.dll was corrupted. Thanks for your support!
