Title: Problem with installing 'A Kirin Tale'
Post by: silverwindblade on November 05, 2019, 09:06:06 PM
Hi all

I updated my version of the game with a load of songs released on the 'Beta' page recently, and had no problem installing them. I'm running MLK on Linux, and have managed to install all of them by dropping folders in the right place, etc.
The only song I seem to have any issues with is 'A Kirin Tale'.
I don't have any kind of knowledge of much computer-related things, but to my eye it looks like all the files are in the right place and named correctly, etc. But for some reason if I drop it into the right folder (songs/community), it'll show on the carousel menu to select it, but as soon as I try to move onto the song, the entire game will crash to desktop.

Anyone else had the same problem, or have any suggestions on how to solve it?
I say again that other songs I've downloaded the same way and installed have had no problems whatsoever, it just seems to be this particular song - which is annoying, as it's one of my favourite ones lately and I'd love to sing it xD

Hello! This is a bit mystifying. Could you try deleting the ~/.ultrastardx/cover.db file and try again just in case?

Do you have any kind of crash log when launching the game from a terminal?
